RTA Kitchen Cabinets: The Alternative To High Priced Custom Cabinets

Ready-to-Assemble kitchen cabinetry has been used recently by construction and contracting agencies however the average home owner or novice handyman has yet to catch on and obtain the advantages from doing so. Ready-to-Assemble kitchen cabinets or for short, RTA kitchen cabinets have been available for many years however due to recent manufacturing improvements, there is now a sudden influx of more and more kitchen design companies offering these types of cabinets to their customers. RTA kitchen cabinets have many beneficial factors and one of the most important ones being cost. Years ago if you wanted to remodel your kitchen a typical custom cabinet builder would quote you anywhere from $10,000 for an entry level kitchen all the way up to $100,000 or more for a high-end luxury kitchen. In today's competitive market you can now afford a basic 10' x 10' kitchen with solid all-wood kitchen cabinets at prices beginning in the vicinity of $1600. With RTA kitchen cabinets you too can reap the financial benefits in a market where the mortgage industry has taken a downfall the past couple years without worrying if you will ever see your investment back.

Overall, what this purchasing decision comes down to is simply cost. Think about all of the money you are going to save by purchasing an already in-stock item and doing the minor task of assembly yourself. The evidence is totally conclusive when it comes to RTA cabinets. If you are interested in this process please check out some of our other articles containing tips on how to measure your kitchen and other great kitchen design ideas.RTA cabinets can be found in many places such as Ikea where you order them flat packed and assemble them yourself. They can also be found in major home improvement stores such as Home Depot or Lowes where they come flat packed and then a local DIY handyman puts them together for you. At many online stores offering these types of cabinets they typically come delivered flat packed and then you or your contractor assembles them according to included directions. There are many different types of quality issues when it comes to RTA kitchen cabinets. You always want to make sure that the type of cabinet you are purchasing has solid plywood sides instead of the more widely used and cheaper MDF wood or particle board. This allows for a sturdier construction and a more solid mount when you screw them into your studs. You want to make sure the face frame and doors are also solid wood. Many of the lower-end RTA cabinets are also assembled with glue and/or staples. These types of cabinets tend to separate, split or warp over longer periods of times whereas kitchen cabinets with cam-lock systems or metal brackets or clips offer a more dependable cabinet. Virtually anyone can put together these types of cabinets as no professional experience is required.

Using RTA Cabinets Rather Than Expensive Name Brands

I have renovated kitchens for about ten years now, but I have only started using RTA kitchen cabinets (ready to assemble) for the last five years. RTA is not a brand name; instead it is a type of cabinet. You might be familiar with big box retail stores like IKEA or Home Depot national chain hardware stores. These stores sell similar RTA (ready to assemble) products and some of them appear to be good prices, but unfortunately these RTA products are inferior to RTA products that I have found online. Yes, RTA products (ready to assemble) can be found in many places, but when I renovated my kitchen, I searched online (A Google Search for RTA kitchen cabinets) and found better prices and actually better quality.

When I ran the numbers on the three sites I looked at, I found that the best prices were on the bigger more complete sites. These sites imported cabinets directly and this was the main reason the RTA kitchen cabinet prices were so good. So to sum it up, the best prices and best quality were on the top RTA kitchen cabinet websites. I did some through research and felt confident that I made the best choice with my kitchen cabinets. There are probably hundreds of RTA kitchen cabinet and RTA bathroom vanity websites, but as with anything the very best rise to the top. When I did a Google search for RTA kitchen cabinets I decided to check out the top three sites on the first page. Note I avoided the paid searches at the very top of the page and also the paid searches at the right side of the page. These sites are paying to be at the top of the list and are not the best sites for what you are looking for, in fact some of these sites are not good at all and really should be included with the quality sites that have earned the front page.

If you like to be beside the seaside then you need coastal outdoor lighting

Living close to Britains coastline is wonderful place to have a home and raise a family. But seaside residences are exposed to all the elements and many garden light fixtures and fittings are just not up to the job. You need specialist coastal outdoor lighting.

Salt sea spray is incredibly corrosive. It will rust and ruin most average outdoor lights in just a few months or years. Its better to invest in coastal outdoor lights that have been specially design for the conditions. Made from tough and durable polycarbonate, coastal lights will withstand extreme weather and saline conditions. If you live in the sunnier regions of the UK, like the south coast, then buying lights that are U.V. resistant can also ensure they remain in good condition for longer.Garden Lighting Columns, Bollards and Posts these coastal outdoor lights look fantastic around any decking or patio areas and some can be used as PIR (motion sensor) security lights too. Many of these types of lights are designed to provide a more contemporary look for gardens.Popular coastal outdoor lighting ideas include:Wall Lights there are a huge choice of garden lights available, ranging from functional security lights through to the decorative. Many are flush fittings so theyre good for narrow paths or covered walkways, and very useful when positioned near a front door.Bulkhead / Porch Lights - these are usually oval shaped and theyre fitted to walls. Theyre ideal for use in porches and any areas where children play as theyre tough enough to cope with flying bats and balls. So remember, when brightening up the outside of your seaside residence make sure you invest in durable and corrosion-proof lighting and lamps.Stuart Richardson - www.outdoorlightingonline.co.ukThere is a wide choice of styles available on the market now. Cabinets, office pace FDM 300 sales gains

Breakdown by market sector shows continuing office furniture strength.

This is especially true when getting RTA designs. When you purchase them, sure you have to build them yureslf, but the good thing is, you can get high quliaty without paying a fortune, and therefore wont have to spend money refacing them or replacing them down the road, as you likely would with cheap cabinets.Take away Ashley's overall sales gain and the FDM 300 residential furniture segment's sales are down about $500 million -well in the red.I know many users of Hot Tubs where their varicose veins have much reduced after they have started using the air blower on their Jacuzzi. That said, there are a couple of individual companies to make note of. Ashley, for example, enjoyed large sales gains in 2006, but much of this was related to the company's large retail business. For this analysis, we compared year-to-year sales of companies that were listed in the two most recent FDM 300 issues covering 2005 and 2006. We organized those companies into different market segments to get some idea of each sector's strength.by Karl D. Forth, EditorSales of RTA companies in the FDM 300 fell, from $3.29 billion in 2005 to $3.09 billion in 2006. That's about a 6 percent decline. With O'Sullivan Industries recently announced closing, overall numbers will be lower this year.So how can you find quality cabinets without spending an arm and a leg? Its actually not hard, when you know how. Therefore, if you are looking to save money, you can still get high quality by getting RTA cabinets, and of course, getting used cheap kitchen cabinets as well. The store fixture companies in the FDM 300 had a collective loss in 2006, but this is somewhat misleading. Because of the way Leggett & Plait's store fixture segment was Figured, there was a large difference in that company's numbers from 2005 to 2006.I am told that air blower therapy, was specifically designed by doctors to help increase the blood circulation in veins that are contained in the skin, legs and feet.In the more modern designed Hot Tubs that are not fully foamed the air pump is located within an insulated area so that the mechanical heat generated from the jet pumps is naturally warming the air. Also one can draw the conclusion that running an air blower in a fully foamed spa will destroy what ever little thermal efficiency they have. This is simply as all of the air has to be drawn in from the outside of the Hot Tub cabinet and this is of course colder than the water temperature in the Hot Tub.The millwork sector overall was up 2 percent, from $8.45 billion to $8.62 billion.kforth@wattnet.netAfter a reasonable time span perhaps 15 to 20 minutes, the air will start to turn cold, but by then of course you would have stopped using the air blower.Cabinet strength continuesOnce again, good sales gains came from the office sector. Haworth, Herman Miller, HNI, KI, Knoll and Steelcase reported solid gains, raising the entire sector. So when you as the potential customer ask the salesman "What is the purpose of an air blower?" you will probably be better informed than the sales person. One thing to avoid is particleboard, and fiberboard as well. These materials are generally not very sturdy, and if you put too many things in them, or get them wet, it can have a disastrous effect.Millwork edges upWhere can you find them? Often times, they can be found at discount shops, and here you can usually find them with wood imitations. If actually wood is utilized , it generally is not the best looking wood. However, while older designed cheap kitchen cabinets were well known for their poor craftsmanship and materials used, the newer ones (not always) are generally very sturdily built and of high quality. Often times you can find reasonably priced cabinets that are made of plywood, and real wood doors and frames. In the winter season, these outdated designs can make the water temperature fall so that the heater is simply unable to keep up.In many fully foamed spas you often find that they do not offer separate air blowers and of course it is not just one air blower we are talking about as the air blower is piped to some 10 to 20 or more "pepper pot" style outlet Jets involving some intricate pipe work.

Hot Tubs - Would you an Air Blower

Whilst hydro therapy and water massage generated by aa hot tub is excellent it can also be a very good idea to have a separate air blower for reasons that I will out line below.

Usually, the cabinets are of fairly shoddy craftsmanship, and therefore I would not recommend you buy them at your neighborhood mom and pop store, as usually they will be inferior quality. Buying them from a known store is usually the way to go as this can save you more money but still net you high quality. The Shell can be foamed but not the contents of the whole spa cabinet. If the whole interior cabinet is foamed then it is very hard to fix or find a leak should one occur. This is known as a fully foamed spa.In these circumstances some times using an air blower means you lose very little if any heat. The air coming in can be at or close to the same temperature or even sometimes slightly warmer than the water in the Hot Tub. . Obviously one cannot continue to always draw warm air as after a little while the air temperature inside the Hot Tub cabinet will start to drop.We compared sales data for 2005 and 2006, as reported in our February 2006 and February 2007 issues, respectively. These were almost all companies that we had sales figures for 2005 and 2006, although there were a few 2005 companies included in the analysis that were not in 2006 because they became part of another FDM 300 company.Hot Tubs that are not fully foamed are able to draw the air from inside the Jacuzzi cabinet thereby re-using the mechanical heat already generated by the pumps and related equipment. If a large company is taken out, store fixture sales were up. And sales of RTA companies in the FDM 300 were down. Most changes here were small, with companies reporting small increases or a few decreases. The largest window and door companies were largely unchanged, based on information we were able to gather. Some people even go down to the store and get pro opinions on what can be done to their kitchen to give it the design they want. While you might not go to this extent, which cheap kitchen cabinets you get is very important.Overall, store fixture sales declined from $2.16 billion in 2005 to $1.9 billion. But take away the Leggett & Platt figures and the overall segment records a slight gain, from $1.11 billion to $1.18 billion. It has been said that it is similar to having fluffy feather pillows containing warm water and having these rolled around your torso, hips and legs.Cabinet manufacturers and office furniture heavyweights led the market in 2006. In an analysis of this year's reporting of the FDAf 300, cabinets and office furniture showed good gains. Millwork was up slightly, and residential furniture sales were flat (this includes retail sales of many of the largest companies).Looking at residential furniture, there were 85 companies with sales figures for both 2005 and 2006. A few of these were bought out by other companies. Overall, residential sales among this group were flat, from $17.55 billion in 2005 to $17.56 billion in 2006.The cabinet market has had strong growth for many years. While that growth has slowed a bit, this market is still strong. Company by company, results were mixed, with some of the 69 firms reporting gains, others losses. Overall, FDM 300 companies in the cabinet sector had sales of $12.29 billion in 2006, an increase of 7.1 percent over $11.48 billion in 2005. That's the same rate of growth recorded among this group in 2005.One thing I would highly advocate is that you first determine how much money you have to spend on these things, and once you know this, then make your buying decisions accordingly. Dont just look into the final price when considering this. However many Hot Tubs do not come with an air blower and when comparing models this is something to take into account as an Air blower will add to the cost.In 2005, we recorded annual sales in this sector of $13.41 billion. In 2006, that number increased to $13.97 billion, a 4.2 percent gain.RTA downOffice heavyweights gainA Hot Tub with a separate air blower does considerably help to reduce varicose veins.Store fixture changes

So when you as the potential customer ask the salesman "What is the purpose of an air blower?" you will probably be better informed than the sales person.
